Graduate Program Admission Requirements

All applicants to the Graduate Program submit the following with their application:

• GRE scores (and TOEFL for foreign applicants)
• 3 letters of recommendation
• Statement of purpose
• undergraduate transcript, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)

Applicants intending to pursue doctoral work beyond the M.A. in philosophy should also possess at least two years of college-level preparation in a foreign language.

Applicants who do not have an undergraduate major or minor (at least 18 semester hours or the equivalent) in philosophy should consult the Graduate Coordinator before submitting their application.

Applicants may apply online by visiting the Admissions Office Online Application site. Applicants must submit a complete application prior to February 15 to be assured of consideration for financial aid.
