Graduate Program Financial Assistance

A limited number of graduate assistantships (with competitive stipends) and tuition/fee waivers are available for graduate students. Graduate assistantships usually involve assisting with instruction, research, and administrative duties. Information about the amount and number of awards is available from the Graduate Coordinator.

The Philosophy Department asks all graduate students to complete the FAFSA. No additional paperwork is required to apply for financial aid: applicants should indicate on their graduate application whether they wish to be considered for an assistantship. Applications not completed by February 15 cannot be guaranteed consideration for financial assistance.

Kent State University is committed to providing all persons equal access to its programs, facilities, and employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or identification as a disabled veteran, or veteran of the Vietnam era.
